Douglas May, designer and creative director, holds degrees in advertising from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and in visual communication from the University of North Texas. He began his professional career in New York, where he worked for publication design guru Roger Black, CBS Magazines, type genius Tom Carnase and retail design expert Ken Walker before returning to his native Texas to work for advertising legend Stan Richards. May & Co. was founded in 1986 and has since conducted business on five continents.
Doug is a past board member and officer of AIGA DFW, as well as past president and board member of the Dallas Society of Visual Communications. He has taught and served on advisory boards for undergraduate and graduate design programs, as well as judged professional and student competitions in the U.S. and Mexico. In 2011, Doug was honored as an AIGA Fellow by the DFW Chapter, for his contribution to the North Texas design community.
